The Tecra’s M5 standard battery gives you a life of about 4 hours regardless of WiFi enabling but if you put Toshiba’s 12-cell power pack into the mix you can easily get a whole day’s worth of battery life and for a very sensible price of just $71.99. The 3DMark03 is capable of handling Windows Vista Aero interface so it should easily be able to handle gaming applications at lower resolutions. You could even throw in a DVD Multidrive from Toshiba itself and read and write every kind of optical discs.

For a business laptop, security is a major factor and Toshiba Tecra gives you TPM and a fingerprint reader. The level of robustness and durability of the system is ensured by ac active protection system for the hard drive, a spill-resistant keyboard and the use of shock absorbing materials throughout so you will not feel any shocks or vibrations as the hard drive and display is protected in their own internal casing that also adds to their sturdiness.

The only thing that the laptop lacks is an embedded wireless broadband. So you will have to purchase a PC card for wireless abilities separately. But apart from that, there is not one thing that deters from making Toshiba Tecra a clear winner in the thin-and-light business portable category.
